Danny Cuda is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi). Danny is also a registered Exercise Professional with AUSactive.
Danny has been in the field of psychology for over 20 years, and has worked in a variety of settings, including forensics, adolescent mental health, and private practice. Danny completed a 4-year Bachelor of Psychology degree at James Cook University, graduating in 2000, followed by a 2-year internship in a forensic setting. Danny later completed the Master of Counselling program at the University of New England in 2021 and meets all professional obligations through continued professional development.
Danny focuses on supporting individuals, couples and families through a systemic and integrated framework. He aims to provide a safe platform for clients to explore their narratives and gain insight into the core schemas and interpersonal dynamics that influence their experiences. Danny works with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, post-trauma, loss and grief, complex trauma, relational difficulties, occupational stressors, substance misuse, and adjustment difficulties. Danny's therapeutic style integrates a range of evidenced-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy (NT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, all grounded in a person-centred approach.
Danny recognises the essential role of physical health and self-care in overall well-being. In Danny’s professional role and capacity, he aims to provide strategies and support that promotes an active and holistic approach to well-being.
